Join our entertaining trip from Tallinn to Riga through the picturesque towns of Viljandi, Cēsis, and Sigulda. We’ll bring you to places you would not find on your own and help you discover two countries in one day.

Our knowledgeable local guides take a small group, maximum of 8 people, for a fun filled 12 h road trip from Tallinn to Riga (click here to book this tour the other way – from Riga to Tallinn). You will learn about the history of Estonia and Latvia and its people by visiting several places with our experienced guides. We’ll take you from small towns and medieval castle ruins to quirky local sights and through the beautiful countryside.

Get ready to roam not one but two medieval castles, Viljandi and Cēsis, and discover how they became to be ruined. Learn about the history of Estonia and Latvia while crossing the border between the two countries. We’ll visit the Gauja National Park where you can hike by the picturesque sand cliffs in Sietiņiezis and take in the sights of the medieval Old Town in Cēsis. Before we reach Riga we’ll stop in Sigulda to climb up the only Bobsleigh Track in the Baltics.

We'll also stop for a lunch at a local restaurant on the way. Kindly let our guides know if you have any special dietary needs that we should take in account. Location of the lunch is subject to availability and the meal is not included in the price of the tour.

"Really enjoyable day"

Loved the idea of turning the transfer day into a tour to look forward to and definitely was glad to have booked this. We really enjoyed the couple stops we made and the guide information along the way.

"Highly recommend Riga to Vilnius bus tour!!"

10 stars is more appropriate. This private tour started as a nice way to get from Riga to Vilnius, it ended up as much more and worth every cent! The drive without tour is 3 hours, with the tour its ~9 hours. Much better and cheaper than a flight or driving myself. Pickup and dropoff were central locations, easy to walk to. There were four on us on the bus, and our guide Laura was absolutely the best... so well suited to her job. The tour stops were locations we wanted to see, just the right amt of time on each, the drive was smooth and through interesting towns. The food stops were perfect ... order the honey cake at the Palace cafe, it was decided by all to be excellent. Laura informed us about the region, history, religions, people, and culture. And she was right, we all ended up loving Vilnius! It was good company. (This is for the RIga-Vilnius Sightseeing Tour Bus but I didnt see that option)

"Who exprected a bobsleigh ride."

Everything was well organised on this tour. The minibus was modern and if marginally short on leg room, I am a tall man ,very comfortable. The choice of stops was excellent medievil villages , castles ,a brewery for lunch and even an international bobsleigh course. Matiss our guide was superb. Extemely knowledgable he imparted the information in an interesting and enjoyable way. Matiss really was the person who made the trip so special.

"Perfect start to finish"

Didn't know what to expect and hence had no real expectations so it wouldn't be right to say that the day exceeded my expectations. Johanna was just incredible. She talked about the history and culture of Estonia and its people, including her own family's history in the northern fishing village. She showed us places that were too incredible to believe, from national parks to historic sites. She had all of her facts, but also had a huge heart. Loved the day and hated it to end. We learned so much about the people, the history, the culture, the food, the life, the challenges and fears, the pride and beauty.

"Super value and personal tour with a passionate host"

We didn’t want to just catch a bus or plane to get from Tallin to Riga and this tour seemed like a great way to make a day of it and see parts of Latvia and Estonia that we’d miss. We had a great time. We enjoyed meeting our other travellers from NYC who were great company and our host, Kullo , clearly had a passion for both countries, their history and environment. The van was very modern and comfortable. Totally recommended!

"Tallinn to Riga"

The tour was nice, however we didn’t get to Riga till almost 9pm. Everything thing felt delayed and time consuming. We loved seeing Cesis Castle and Viljandi town. The national park could have been cut out to save time. If they could make the tour shorter to arrive at 6 or 7pm in time for dinner then I would highly recommend this as it is such a long day and when we arrived most dinner places were already closed.

Meeting Point

The tour starts in front of Tallinn Tourist Info Center (Niguliste street 2) on the corner of Harju and Niguliste street. Our guide will meet you at the marked meeting point.
