"Best way to get from Tallinn to Riga!"
5 passengers; Lamosh was our guide - excellent; Viljandi 1st stop beautiful and fun swing; lunch at Metsis Hotel - delicious, unique & fast; loved the Gauja National Forest and finally, lucky enough to see bobsledders go down the run on ice.
"Fun transfer!"
We had a fantastic transfer between Riga -Tallinn! Small group tour with small towns and scenic sights along the way. Our guide was friendly and fairly knowledgeable. His driving was good too, although we are quite prone to, we didn't end up with motion sickness during the journey! Would definitely recommend 😊
"Good first impressions"
Unfortunately I did not have a lot of time to travel through Estonia and Latvia, so this was the perfect way to get a first impression of the two countries. The guide with his local knowledge and stories made the trip even more enjoyable and although traveling on a bus for 12 hours is exhausting, it really did not feel too long. I can thoroughly recommend this trip!
"Great fun way to get to Riga"
The guide Lomas made the day. He worked so hard to explain, entertain, and generally make sure that all things were good for the party. Also an excellent driver. Hard to believe he's the same age as my son. The tour has a good route, stopping off at ruined castles and old towns, testing a communal Estonian swing, a blueberry hunt in the beautiful Latvian national park, and the old Soviet bobsleigh track. It was a really good day
"Best Tour Ever"
This was one of the BEST tours I've ever been on. The knowledge of our guide Lomas, 21, was amazing! He made the day fun and relaxing with plenty of interesting stories. I highly recommend booking this tour! You will gain more insight into the Estonian and Latvian countries from a local's perspective.
"Glad we had the chance to get out of the city and see some real rural living"
Friendly, informative tour guide. Good day trip for all, including those with young children. Very accommodating when our oldest daughter felt car sick. Beautiful scenery along the way. National Park and view from Bob Sleigh track were stunning. We were also able to pick wild berries and drink from the river. Food at the Lodge stop was good, although the stuffed animals were a bit off putting for me. Local village stops and military museum allowed us to ride on a wooden courting swing and kids to dress up in military get-up.
Only slight negative was that our tour left a little later than planned, which meant we arrived quite late at night into Riga; so just bear this in mind for your evening dining.
"Wonderful day"
It was a very enjoyable day with a lot of sightseeing with good company and a fantastic guy whose English was impeccable.
We made about 9 stops through the journey. We had a late lunch, but very delicious in a little hotel with plenty of hunting trophies at the border town of Estonia. They guide was very good and approachable who had a very good knowledge of history of the Baltic States.
"NOT JUST A TOUR!!"
Our tour was amazing, thank to Lomas, our guide.
We visited small medieval and historically meaningful towns and the bigger natural park of the Baltics (a green paradise).
We also enjoyed the visit to Sigulda's bob-sleigh park.
All of this, listening to Estonian music during the trip, to get perfectly in the mood.
Without Lomas and Traveller we would never lived such an adventure travelling from Tallinn to Riga.
"Best tour, great tour guide."
Such a great trip. Very cool to see towns and places that I would not have normally been able to see. I was surprised at how much we were able to see and do in 1 day without feeling rushed. Lomas was great and able to answer all of my random questions about Estonia and Latvia while driving from stop to stop.
"An unforgettable day"
It was an interesting day because we learned a lot about the country, landscape and nature. Our guide was very nice and did a great job. I recommend this experience.
"Amazing day trip :D"
We really enjoyed our tour ! Incredible sights with a fun and knowledgeable guide is all you need to know. Definitely worth the money !
"A nice tour in the countryside with a very good guide"
The tour was very well organized in groups of 8 persons. The guide took us to see a watelfall, then a manor, then we walked through the forest and the bog (which was the highlight of the whole tour), we stopped for lunch, then went to a second manon, and finally visited a village by the sea, before returning to the city.
The esthonian nature is really impressive. The guide was very well prepared and gave us a lot of colorful information about the people and the history of this small and beautiful country.
The reason I do not rate the tour with 5 is the price, which was a little too high, and the lunch (but that is a matter of taste).
"Great tour!"
Excellent guide, comfortable van and well-selected sites to visit. Great experience, thank you!
"Best way to visit and travel throughout the Baltic states. "
We did several activities with traveller.ee including the 12-hour journey from Tallinn to Riga with Lõmaš.
It was awesome due to the enthusiasm of the guide, his kindness and eagerness to share culture and knowledge.
Small group of 8 people, enabled us to exchange, to ask questions and create a nice and ludic atmosphere during the journey and the tour. Lõmaš clearly knows hid stuff and is genuinely happy to share it with you. He adapts to the centres of interest of the group and always have fascinating stories to tell.
The highlights of the tour were adapted to the length of the journey and Lõmaš made sure to look after us as we didn't speak the linguo in some museums so we could enjoy the visit.
Strongly recommended.
"Very good guide / quirky stops. "
Was very pleased with our guide - he was knowledgeable, conversant, and had good energy. We were off the beaten path and saw interesting and unusual sights. I learned a semester’s worth of Baltic history in one day! We never overstayed anywhere and, while the day was long, I felt the pace was good (I can be impatient). Definitely a great way to get from Tallinn to Riga. Only downside was that modern Ford vans do not offer ideal sight lines (I was in the middle row and stared at a large headrest / side view was adequate). Front and far-back seats have best views.
"good desicion"
We had a nice, informative and funny day, pleasant company and a really likeable guide with a comfortable way of driving. Recommendation!
