Scenic, informative, comfortable way to get to Vilnius from Riga. Van was comfy, drive good, albeit long with 4 stops along way. I would suggest tour company drop Kaunas so you get there faster and add the interior Palace tour to trip instead of Gardens ( even if upping overall tour price by 10 euro). Driver was informative and helpful though for me ,on occasion, drove too fast.

We had a great trip from Riga to Vilnius on the sightseeing tour bus. Our driver Matiss was a bit of a legend- he drove safely and gave us lots of information about the stops on the way. He dropped us to the door of our accommodation which was really appreciated. He even came back and brought something to us that we had left behind on the van. He also gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Can I actually rate the trip 6 stars??? ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Did a private tour from Vilnius to Riga, luggage and all. Definitely worth the drive to see the countryside and the sites listed. Hill of Crosses was worth it alone! We loved our drive from Riga to Vilnius with Laura. She was incredibly energetic and enthusiastic about her home country Lithuania! We stopped at several places along the way that were just wonderful and so historical, Salaspils memoriāls, Rundales Palace, Hill of Crosses, Kaunas, and Trakai Castle! There are a lot of renovations being done at both Kaunas (in the square) and at Trakai Castle - just a heads up before visiting!

Brilliant trip - Kaunas was a pleasant place to pass an hour, the Hill of Crosses was jaw-dropping, Rundale Palace was very pretty and the Salispils Memorial a thought-provoking end. Our guide Laura was amazing. She was so knowledgeable, teaching us along the route about Lithuanian and Latvian, history, culture, and language. We were two Americans, and the other two guests were from Hong Kong and Singapore. We all had such fun conversations throughout the trip! The places we stopped were interesting, beautiful, and often very moving, and we had ample time to explore each one. The van was very nice and comfortable. The original meeting spot seemed a bit unclear at first, but we called the customer service number and got the help we needed to find our guide. We felt the price of the tour was very reasonable and well worth it! We very highly recommend this tour and this company! They are all-around excellent!

Estonia and Latvia beautiful countries. We saw some interesting places. Laura our guide is very knowledgeable and fun. The only thing I did not care for was the choice of restaurant for lunch called Lilli in Valga. It was not authentic but also very expensive!!! Turistic. I am sure there are more restaurants on the way with typical food and fair prices.

I think travelling from Riga to Vilnius through this option is the most value for money as well. For places like Hill of Crosses - you’d have spent a lot of time going there from Vilnius. But for the sightseeing bus, it was something like a pit stop! Sightseeing while travelling, it was the best of both worlds!

This is a long day but very interesting and so much better than flying or traveling via bus. We stopped at Kaunas, Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils. My van is good. The staff is kind and professinal. Lunch is delicious and not expensive. The programe is sufficient. Usually one day tour from Riga to Rundale palace is 60-80€ and one day tour from Vilnius to hill of crosses is about 50-60euro. So it is a most valueable way to transfer from Riga to Vilnius.

Booking this tour was hands down the best decision for traveling from Riga to Vilnius. Our guide Laura was amazing, knowledgeable and just a lovely and funny person. She really made the 11+ hours fly by. The stops along the way were chosen well, and Laura gave us lots of background info on the individual stops but then we also had time to just explore a little. The lunch stop was very yummy and a great location and the fact that she ordered our chosen food ahead saved us time. We travelled as a family of 3 and really can't recommend this tour enough (even our teenager had a great time :)

We really enjoyed this tour! We don't drive, which made it challenging when planning a trip that would take us to all of the key places we wanted to visit in Latvia and Lithuania. This tour was perfect because it took us to many of those places while also moving us along to Vilnius, the next stop on our Baltic journey! Laura, our tour guide, was great. She is energetic and kept the tour moving along with the perfect amount of time to visit each place. If you unfortunately fell asleep in the car (jet lag, not boredom!), you didn't miss important details, as she saved the key facts for our stops to see the various sites. Laura somehow remembered everyone's names! There was a good variation in the types of sites we visited. A must see for us was the Hill of Crosses, and we were glad we saw it! We were also glad to visit the Salaspils Memorial and the Rundale Palace. It's hard to choose, but my favourite place we visited was Kaunas. We took this tour in December, so the Christmas Market there was a site to see, especially lit up at night! This was a jam-packed day, but a great way to travel between Riga and Vilnius and see unique sites along the way. We highly recommend this tour or the same tour in the other direction.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to embark on a tour that surpassed all my expectations in terms of price, activities, and overall experience. This adventure took us on a journey through the enchanting Latvian and Estonian countryside, and it was so much more than just a typical point A to point B excursion. Our day began with a thrilling climb up the Soviet-era Bobsleigh track in Sigulda. From there, we ventured to the medieval Old Town of Cēsis, the charm of this place was absolutely captivating. One of the highlights of the tour was our hike along the sandy cliffs of Sietiņiezis in the Gauja National Park. The natural beauty of this location left me in awe, and the opportunity to connect with nature in such a pristine environment was unforgettable. Our journey continued as we visited the Estonian history and military museum in Valga. We also had lunch here. The tour concluded in the romantic town of Viljandi, where we explored its charming streets and the crumbling crusader castle. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with discovery and adventure. However, what truly set this tour apart was Laura's amazing energy and expertise. She kept us entertained throughout the entire journey, answering all our questions and providing a wealth of information about the Baltic states. "Absolutely the best way to transfer!"
I can't recommend this tour enough. We were a group of 8 women traveling together, and this transfer tour made the process of moving all of us (and all of our luggage) from one city to the other not just completely painless, but also genuinely enjoyable. Turning the day into a lovely, relaxed tour where we could get out and wander and see the incredible sights along the way turned what could have been a boring transfer day into a truly memorable part of our trip. The lunch was wonderfully chosen and really a highlight as well. Most of all, our guide Laura just stole the show. She was an absolute delight, and incredibly gracious and accommodating to our big group. I can't recommend this enough!

I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Our guide was Laura (Lau-ra), who was perfect: highly knowledgeable, hugely enthusiastic, and very professional. Highlights of the tour were the Hill Of Crosses, and Salapils Memorial, with additional stops at Rundale Palace and Kaunas. Also have to mention the restaurant Laura took us too for a delicious, Lithuanian lunch. Additional charge, but great value, and super location. Perfect day trip; comfortable minibus, great locations, awesome guide, couldn’t fault it.

Laura was a fantastic guide who made all of the tour group feel very welcome. The trip was great - we saw multiple places (Kaunas, the Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils memorial) in one day as well as going to a restaurant for delicious Lithuanian food. Each of the stops was fascinating and felt like must-see places so it was brilliant to see them all in one day. This is the best way to see both countries more than just the capital cities and it's the most time-efficient way. So much better than a boring bus ride if you go direct between the 2 cities. I had wanted to visit the Hill of Crosses before coming to this region, and it would have been an extra day's excursion from Vilnius if I hadn't joined this tour. It was a fantastic trip! I also had chance to visit some places that I hadn't heard of before. Laura was very friendly, enthusiastic and fun. I feel very lucky to have her as the guide. Unless you are flying or self-driving, this tour is your best option travelling between Riga and Vilnius!

The Riga-Vilnius sightseeing tour bus was a perfect way to travel between the two capitals while visiting some hard-to-reach sites in Latvia and Lithuania. The tour was the perfect balance of information offered at each site, free time for exploration, and general fun background info as we drove. Laura was SO much fun, and her upbeat personality kept us all energized for the long day. Our lunch stop was also super delicious.

Excellent tour to explore beautiful sights on the way from city to another. Laura was the most accomodating guide, she gave us good introductions to all of the sights before we went to explore them independently. Timing was spot on, did not feel rushed and even though this is a full day trip, it was not as exausting as I though before booking. Todella hyvä päiväretki Vilnan ja Riian välillä, lämpimästi voin suositella tätä matkanjärjestäjää. Nähtävyydet ovat käymisen arvoisia paikkoja joihin ei julkisilla pääse perille. Askeleita tulee, mutta mielestäni tämä sopii myös huonomminkin liikkuville koska saa mennä oman tahdin mukaan. The location for lunch was absolutely beautiful and the food top class! Great trip to do in the summer with a fabulous guide like Laura who gave top recommendations at every stop (I do miss the Traki island castle not being on the itinerary though)

We booked the Riga to Tallinn sight-seeing tour. There were a total of six passengers which made the ride very comfortable. Laura was our amazing guide. She is very energetic and fun. It is obvious she loves her country and her job. She gave us a lot of history of both Latvia and Estonia and all of the stops along the way. Our guide Laura was very welcoming, knowledgeable and successful in making us excited to visit Lithuania for the first time. The day tour was great value for money in my opinion much better than just catching a coach. We saw interesting stops between Riga + Vilnius that we would have totally missed otherwise. It was a small bus so you were never waiting around for other people. The lunch stop was good, no complaints. Ps traveller tours are really good to deal with, any issues that arise their team are really responsive and professional.

When travelling between the Baltic capitals its tempting to take the quickest route but that would be a mistake. Instead for a bit more money take the guided sight seeing mini bus / people carrier and see more of Lithuania and Latvia. The vehicle was very comfortable but the highlight was our guide Laura. This was a great way to see a little of both Latvia and Lithuania other than the cities, and was made even better by Laura, who had more energy for 12 hours straight than you could possibly imagine. This was my second tour and there were four of us who previously took the Tallinn-Riga bus two days earlier. The only downside is that the lunch restaurant ran out of beer, which I think may have been a capital offense in Lithuania, although the venison sausages were delicious.

We traveled from Vilnius to Riga with Laura. The meeting point is not clearly described, a map with an X would be helpful. Luckily Laura was searching around for people. Kaunas (1 hour is too short), Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils are great stops. Laura is a good driver and a bottomless pit of energy. Hope to meet you again some day.

I was a little nervous about booking this option for traveling from Riga to Vilnius. I was a solo traveler in my sixties who doesn’t like tours. I shouldn’t have been nervous at all. It was a wonderful way to make the trip, and to see a few things in between. Our guide, Laura, was just delightful — giving us the background of every site we stopped at and, of course, telling us why her hometown of Vilnius was the most wonderful place in the world. The places we stopped — the Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses, and Kaunas — were varied and interesting. Sufficient time was allotted at each, and we arrived in Vilnius around 8PM, which at least in my mind was perfect. I recommend this.

This day's itinerary is a bit packed and I'd suggest changing the pacing/ focus a little Maybe just a little longer at the first view stop to wander around. Medininkai Castle was lovely and the right amount of time. But I think more time is needed for Druskininkai - it felt like a long drive for a short visit and there was more we wanted to see there. I think there should be time to see the town and the fountain and the shops. The cable car is ok but not worth the time compared with seeing the town. Grutas Park is an odd place - really just a collection of soviet statues that didn't really work very well as a museum - we would have preferred far less time there (if any, to be honest it can be skipped). I suggest giving people the choice of where they'd like to spend time. Laura our guide was great - this tour company has very high quality guides and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I'm a huge fan of transfer tours, even though they are long days, you get to see and do so much! Laura our guide was lovely and flexible in terms of how/where we spent time (though I would suggest some quiet time in the van as too much music can make it hard to relax/ doze off on the road). I really appreciated the way Laura communicates history in a way that we could understand and remember - we learnt a lot! :) The hill of crosses was a surprisingly interesting stop and we got to see the roses blooming at Rundale. First of all: even if the weather is harsh, don't hesitate to take part in this tour! The guide was funny and knowledgeable, and definitely contributed to make this trip even more pleasant. It's been raining with high wind for most of the day, but, honestly, this made even more interesting the experience at Salaspils and the Hill of Crosses. Of course, if you want to fully enjoy the Rundāle Palace Garden with all of its flowers, it is better to book the tour for a sunny day in May or June. St Peter and St Paul Cathedral in Kaunas is literally a piece of jewelry. All highly recommended!

Laura our guide was absolutely fantastic. This is a must do if you're travelling between the Baltic capitals. Let's you see sights that you would need a rental car to see and turns a mundane bus trip into a great day of sight seeing. Riga to Vilnius was great, highlights were the rose garden at the Baltic version of versailles. Also had a fabulous lunch at a deer farm Audruvis. Restoranas. The venison carpaccio and beet soup were spot on.

Laura was a passionate and knowledgeable guide. We visited several sites of interest between Tallinn and Riga - so much better than flying or just sitting on a bus - and good value for money. Our kids (8 and 10) managed the trip fine, despite it being a really long day (11 hours). I certainly recommend this trip. The only reason I score 4 rather than 5 stars is because I didn't get quite as much from the places that we visited as I did from the Riga - Vilnius trip (we did this a couple of days later), but that's a personal preference!

Such a fun trip from Riga to Tallinn. I’m so glad we had enough people to do the tour as I can’t imagine my Baltics trip without it. All of the stops along the way are “must see” so this is an excellent way to do a road trip but with a local guide. Laura was so energetic and fun and really exuded love for her homeland and knowledge of the history. We paid to do a quick tour inside Rundale Palace (only the gardens are included in the tour) which is good because it started pouring rain. The time allotted for Kaunas was enough to really take in the old town and see the castle. Highly recommend!

"A fun and interesting way to travel from Vilnius to Riga"
We were a group of eight friends who decided to use this tour to get to Riga. It was a great decision. We got to visit the town of Kaunas that we otherwise wouldn’t have seen. The stop at the Hill of Crosses was both eerie and interesting. We were then lucky to have the most beautiful light when we got to Rundale Palace. Because we travelled in the very late Autumn, the days were short and saw the most beautiful sunset there. Laura, our guide, was enthusiastic and gave a fantastic energy to the whole tour and agreed without hesitation to try to see Salsapils in pitch darkness. Thanks to one of our friend’s strong photography lighting we got to experience this place in a very different way. It was intensely emotional. All in all, we had fun and saw so much more than we would otherwise. For a great price. Thank you!

She presented us Vilnius old town with it’s beautiful historic monuments and Trakai National Park with the majestic medieval island castle, traditional village and romantic manor which are all sorunded by nature! "Fantastic way to get between Vilnius and Riga"
Highly recommend this tour to allow you to see some of the most interesting sights whilst also accomplishing the need to travel between the two cities. My personal favourite was the hill of crosses just because it is so unusual, but Rundale Palace is also a star stop. Laura was an excellent guide, bubbling with enthusiasm and highly enthusiastic!

My original plan was to just take Lux Express directly to Riga but i thought seeing more of Lithuanian would be awesome so i signed up for the trip. In the end it was the right choice. I was able to explore more places and understand more the history of Lithuania because we had a really good guide and she answered all my questions and gave even more info. I was travelling alone and the ride was comfortable and company was definitely more entertaining than strangers on a bus. Highly recommended. (Also, thanks Laura.)

"Nice way to know more about Baltic countries"
We were a group of four friends that had just a week to visit Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. This tour made us to know more than Vilnius or Riga, making friends and assisted by Laura, who was very close and nice. We liked the places we visited in a minivan for 8 people. You are allowed to talk, to drink or eat in the minivan and the fact of being just 8 provided us agility and comfort.

Ok, my opinion could be affected by the fact that everyone on this tour was extremely nice: starting from Laura, our funny and exuberant guide, to the other amazing travellers with whom I soon formed a little family! The trip itself went through several locations which covered both the cultural/historical aspect and the sightseeing one. I learnt a lot of interesting facts well explained by Laura, who often also put a smile on our faces. I'm really glad that I joined this tour and I totally recommend it!

"Most Enjoyable Tour"
Rundale Palace is a lovely czarist summer palace without the crowds of St. Petersburg and with wonderful rose gardens. It has only been open to the public for 5 years, so I expect that additional restoration work is planned for some of the rooms that don’t have the glitz of the fully restored rooms. The Hill of Crosses was very moving. Our tour guide, Laura, was amazing: very knowledgeable, outgoing and interacted so well with us. Her English is excellent and she projects her voice loud enough that she could be heard throughout our van.

Our tour guide was Laura. She is professional from warming us up to sharing with us what we are supposed to know about the scenes and history throughout the tour. What's more, she's an excellent driver, making the travel comfortable. Concerning the tour spots, I would suggest adding another half-hour stay at Kaunas. All in all, I highly recommend this to everyone planning to travel from Riga to Vilnius.

Took the tour from Riga to Vilnius. Stops included: Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. Along the way there was a stop for lunch (pay for yourself). Overall the tour was extremely well done, there was ample opportunity to explore at each location with the guide providing some history and information at each stop. Our guide was also top-notch and was able to not only give a great rundown of the history for each location but was also able to add some personal anecdotes. Would highly recommend as a way to get between cities while being able to see some of the countryside.

Four of us booked this tour and even with the maximum eight, the bus wasn't too cramped. It sounds like a long bus journey but its neatly divided by four stops, two in Latvia, two in Lithuania so doesn't feel too onerous. All three sightseeing stops were great and few people around. Lunch was the fourth! Laura gave us plenty of information on each stop and general history of both countries. She was also an excellent driver! Would recommend.
"A Surprisingly Touching and Wonderful Day"
The day tour from Riga to Vilnius was wonderful. We stopped at four beautiful sites which I had not known anything about. Two of them, Salispils in Latvia and Hill of Crosses in Lithuania, were emotionally very moving. Our impassioned tour guide, a young Lithuanian lady, was extremely knowledgeable, humorous, and lively. I learned a lot on the tour and saw some extremely lovely places. I recommend taking this tour to anyone who wants to go from Riga to Vilnius. I also took the one from Tallinn to Riga, and would make the same recommendation.

we are 8 travelers coming from different countries plus our very energetic/informative tour guide/driver, LAuraaaaa..... and we build 12 hours of friendship,from concentration Camp to Rundale Palace and in between we have a Lunch, 30 mins from the restaurant is Hill of Cross and off to Kaunas... and finally around 8:30Pm we arrived to Vilnius. Ahhhh.. I couldn’t exactly put into words how happy and contented we are. It was an AMAZING tour with LAWWWWRA (Laura)! She’s amazing 😉 There are no dull moments at all. She’s informative, energetic, friendly and obviously witty (Oh, and a great singer,too! 😉) We travelled for about 11 and half hours with 5 stops including the lunch and I will tell you guys, paying 65€ for a full day tour is all worth it!! Had a long but thoroughly enjoyable day travelling from Riga to Vilnius via the Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. Our stop off for lunch was also good, the meal was tasty and good value. The eight-seater transport was very comfortable and air-conditioned and the itinerary interesting, but the real star was our guide Laura, from Lithuania. It's not often you meet a guide so energetic, knowledgeable, friendly and with near-perfect English. Such a lot of fun too, an absolute gem. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone, many thanks Laura!

Interesting trip good stop overs and it was great to get to Vilnius by 8pm ( a bit too speedy at times) Lunch stop was not as good as our one travelling from Tallin to Riga Guide was a bit over the top at times and rather dismissive of the other Baltic states She did deliver us very close to our destination which was a real bonus

It was a very nice experience. We visited places that we propably would not be able to visit by ouselves (apart from Kaunas). Our guide was excellent, kind, educated and told us everything about the history of each place we visited. The only thing we would recommend is a little more time in Kaunas (2 hours instead of 1).

We did the bus tour Riga-Tallin. Laura was our guide/driver. A great experience: we just needed to travel one-way from Riga to Tallin and we decided to book the tour instead of a conventional bus or train ticket. We spent a nice and funny day. The tour is well organized, no rush and you can merge a transfer trip with a visit of some of the best Latvian and Estonian location. A special thanks to Laura (she is really one of the most energetics and positive person I have ever met) who was able to entertain us during the whole trip. Totally recommended and a must-go trip if you have to travel through Baltic capitals

It was a great tour! We had a full but not exhausting day. We got to go to many places that we couldn't have gotten to on our own with public transportation, and the sightseeing broke up what would otherwise have been a long journey. Our guide was also very enthusiastic and fun. Highly recommended!

You guys should seriously considering charging more because it is so worth it. The lunch halt was also in a very nice restaurant. In all it's for whoever wants to see the Baltics in its raw beauty.

The stops were interesting and Laura was very fun and energetic. However, I think guests should be able to choose whether to visit the garden or the inside of the Rundale palace. For us, the inside was more interesting than the garden (we had seen quite LOTs of palace gardens) and I think if we decide to pay a combo ticket (paying additional cost), the total would be cheaper?

"The best way to travel between cities "
Our guide Laura was one of the most enthusiastic people I've ever met and her energy didn't falter once throughout the day. She tried to teach us a couple of Lithuanian phrases and explain the culture too which was really great to hear from a personal experience rather than from a book or website. The tour was good to see more of Latvia and Lithuania than just the capitals. The Salaspils memorial was worth seeing although very poignant and definitely made you feel the tragedy that occurred there. The only things that could be improved is maybe the guide being slightly quieter at the memorial as it felt a bit uncomfortable her doing the history so loudly as we were walking through. May be better to stop and group us around to talk for this site. Also, there was a lot of Abba on the bus- this may or may not be good depending on your view!
"Great Tour"
We booked for a family group of 10. It was a great service. Pick up from the hotel in Riga and drop off at the hotel in Tallinn. Great stops along the way, nice restaurant for lunch - and pre/ordering was a great idea to keep our big group on schedule. They were wonderfully flexible with start and finish times and stops on the way. Thx to Laura for her knowledge and energy for our very tired group!
"Comfortable but not cheap. "
Sights we saw were cool but all no cost but the one garden - which they pay entrance for - four Euros. Lunch not included, so the 65 Euros seems a bit much for the tour. Remember that 12 hours can also be a bit long. But, if you don't have another way to see these sights and you want to see these particular things, then this is the way to go. Laura was energetic but lacked in the guiding area in terms of recommendations or advice of bathrooms or what to see when you have free time.

Laura was a highly dynamic guide, passionate and informed about her home country of Lithuania and the Baltic states in general. We had previously done the Tallinn to Riga tour so our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Again it was really nice meeting a small group of people from all over the world and spending some time with them doing interesting stops that naturally sparked conversations. The stops on the tour were varied, quite different from the Tallin to Riga tour, well structured and thought out. The restaurant we ate lunch in had a tasty, locally inspired menu at reasonable prices.

Trains are an option, but this bus service is great for those who like seeing more than just city centers. Guides were fun & knowledgeable. The crowd was mixed: younger & older, travelers from many countries but all in English.

Our driver had great enthusiasm and was very positive. My only question is about the length of time at certain stops. I would’ve preferred much more time at Salaspils and Rundale Palace, and far less time (or not even stop) in Kaunas. Also, at Rundale, I wish we were given an option whether to see the gardens or the inside. (We were provided only a ticket to the garden.) I paid for my own entrance to the Palace, but had to walk fast to see it due to the short time there. These are just my opinions... But otherwise, Traveler Tours are a great way to see more of the countryside & harder to reach on your own places, and I recommend them!!

Highly recommend this very interesting tour. Our guide Laura was super enthusiastic and knowledgable. * The city of Kaunas was charming. * The Hill of Crosses pilgrimage site was both somber and uplifting. We left a cross there for loved ones in our prayers. * Rundāle palace was grand and beautiful. * The Salaspils Memorial to victims of Fascism (Lithuanians and Jews) with its large stark somber monument and emotion evoking figures reminded us of the tens of thousands killed by the Nazis...even though created by the Russians who killed many more.

Certes, c'est 4 fois plus cher qu'un bus direct, mais pour 65 euros vous vous arrêtez à Kaunas, à la colline aux 100 000 croix, au château de Rundale et au mémorial de l'holocauste, avec en plus les commentaires très intéressants d'une jeune guide ( ce jour-là c'était Laura ), hyper sympathique et très dynamique. Franchement, c'est un très bon plan. Le voyage dure 11h00 ( au lieu de 4 avec un bus direct), c'est dire que l'on prend notre temps aux divers arrêts.

Laura our guide was brilliant! She was funny, extremely enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The sights we went to see we’re really interesting, and not crowded at all as they were off the beaten track & away from where most other tourists go. It was a fun way to see the Baltics. I wanted to give this tour 5 stars but I found the minivan to be very uncomfortable to spend 11 hours travelling in. A few hours would be ok but for a whole day of travelling it would be nice to be in a less cramped bumpy small vehicle. But other than that, great tour, highly recommend it

"Everything you wanted but didn’t know it!"
Laura welcomed us and made it possible for a very disparate group to become adventure buddies! Laura’s knowledge and people skills kept us willingly on our toes throughout the day (which flashed by) She negotiated times with us, was kind and respectful. Nobody was left out or behind. Everything was done with a light touch and where possible her irrepressible sense of humour. There were serious times, when we visited the concentration camp in Latvia. Her knowledge about the places we visited and the history of the Baltic states gave me many more insights than my reading. She made the history real, human and where appropriate, funny. I have never been on a guided tour before but this has encouraged me. The day was fabulous, the lunch, the palace, the hill of crosses. My diary entry has gone on for pages rather than the usual brief notes. I will always remember that day and I know that my fellow adventurers will. Thankyou Laura, for a special, wonderful day. I will never forget it. Oh - not forgetting her beautiful rendition of the lullaby her mother sang to her!

We really enjoyed our day tour from Riga to Vilnius and could not recommend it more. It's an excellent way to make one's way between the capitals while also visiting interesting places along the way. The trip really appealed to me because instead of losing half a day to travel, you get a fully packed sightseeing day. The tour did NOT disappoint. We had an incredible guide - Laura - who was just a pleasure to spend the day with. She was very informative about all the sites AND she had amazing energy throughout the day. She was so enthusiastic and friendly and energetic that it felt like we were traveling with a new friend! It's great to spend time with someone who seems to be truly excited about her job. She provided a great introduction to Lithuania for us and she told us a lot about the region and the country. Overall, after a packed 10 day tour, the day we spent with Laura was one of the highlights for all four of us. Highly Recommend!

Tour was educational, interesting and the guides were entertaining and educated. By the end of it it felt like a road trip with friends more than a guided tour. Shout out to icetea

Highly recommend this very interesting tour. Our guide Laura was super enthusiastic and knowledgable. * The Hill of Crosses pilgrimage site was both somber and uplifting. We left a cross there for loved ones in our prayers. * Rundāle palace was grand and beautiful.

Laura welcomed us and made it possible for a very disparate group to become adventure buddies! Laura’s knowledge and people skills kept us willingly on our toes throughout the day (which flashed by) She negotiated times with us, was kind and respectful. Nobody was left out or behind. Everything was done with a light touch and where possible her irrepressible sense of humour. Her knowledge about the places we visited and the history of the Baltic states gave me many more insights than my reading. She made the history real, human and where appropriate, funny. I have never been on a guided tour before but this has encouraged me. The day was fabulous, the lunch, the palace, the hill of crosses. My diary entry has gone on for pages rather than the usual brief notes. I will always remember that day and I know that my fellow adventurers will. Thank you Laura, for a special, wonderful day. I will never forget it. Oh - not forgetting her beautiful rendition of the lullaby her mother sang to her!

If you want to get from Riga to Tallinn and see the sights along the way, then this is the way to travel. Laura was our driver and guide and entertained us all the way with her knowledge (her mother is a history teacher) and her talent (she sang a song for us at the beautiful medieval castle at Viljandi). It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and one of the highlights of our trip around the Baltic countries.

A lively entertains trip from Vilnius to Riga. Way better than a bus or plane. Our guide and driver, Laura, presented a current day cultural view of Lithuania, Latvia, and famous sights along the way. Riding in a 9 passenger, air conditioned van, we saw more than all day trips combined as we zig-zagged our way to Trakai, Kaunas, Hill of Crosses, Rundale, and Salaspils. We stopped for lunch at an authentic Lithuanian restaurant. The narrative was entertaining, informative, and funny. I met some delightful people from the UK, Netherlands, US, and Ireland. I would highly recommend it for solo and couple travelers

We had a private bus tour from Riga to Vilnius and we are really glad that we did it in this way, otherwise it would be impossible to have visited so many places in one day if we had done it by public transportation. It was so much easier when travelling with kids and big luggages. And we learned so much about the history of the Baltic countries (especially Lithuania!). Laura is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable, helpful, funny with great personality! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who travel through the Baltic countries!

I hate getting frustrated and in general that's why I put my expectations so low about everything. When I saw a 12 hours tour stuck with strangers I thought: man, that's going to be either a total crap or a exhausting experience. My thoughts were wrong, that was an AMAZING experience! And I would say, the success was solely thanks to our guide driver: Laura was is her name (make sure you get the pronunciation correct mate). But to give you a brief explanation about my day: When she first spoke at like 7:50 AM (so full of energy), I was hangover, with a headache after a big night out with drinks, I thought: This is going to be a DISASTER! But what I thought was going power my irritability (her endless energy) was the biggest blessing of the day. It was by her energy that the trip turned out to be one of the ones I will never forget! She really turned around the wheel and showed the amazing sights between Riga, Vilnius and everything in between with the honesty and passion that only a truly wonderful local would be able to do. If "Traveler Tours" have chosen her to be their driver, trust me and my partner who was with me, they know what they are doing! Be aware readers, to change my mood (I'm such a grumpy person) it's one achievement that It's really rare. I still follow her on insta just to get a glimpse of the amazing places she visits and the endless energy that she emanates. Make sure you get Laura as your driver, but if you don't I'm sure it will be an amazing experience anyway. Also, think about it: the alternative is a bleak cold buss, that goes from city to city bypassing everything in between. I could be telling you about the places I've visited (that you would not visit if you chose the cold and bleak buss). Places that are so unearthly (like the Hill of Crosses) that I would not be able to put down in words. Or I could tell you about the castles, that are stunning (but mostly rebuilt from after war), but I could never explain the memories and the passions built in the stories that our driver did. Thank you so much Laura! <3 Bottom line: If you came to read the reviews it's probably because you are unsure if it's worth your time&money. I've already given you the answer so: there are LIMITED spots, don't waste your time, just book it. By the time you read this might be none left, sorry. To the lonely travelers: best opportunity to make friends!!!
"Best way to travel from Vilnius to Riga!"
I loved this day trip going from Vilnius to Riga. We had a small group, so it was very personable and our tour guide, Laura, was amazing. The stops we made were really the best places between Vilnius and Riga, and at each one we had a little time to check things out. Yes, you may want to spend more time at Trakai, or Kaunas, but because I knew our time was limited we went to these places the day before. We spent our time at Rundale exploring the gardens, if we had more time I suppose we would've checked out the interior too. Truly, the best part of the trip was our guide/driver, Laura, her knowledge and fun attitude kept us all laughing and learning the entire trip. I would definitely recommend this as the best way to travel from Vilnius to Riga!!

The itinerary is well planned that covered most of the interesting sites, like the round Palace and the hill of the crosses, the Trakai castle island and Kaunas. All in one day! We had a very small group which was great for us because we were able to interact more with our guide. By sheer coincidence at one of our stops (a palace and gardens), we were able to see an opulent wedding. Great way to learn Estonian and Latvian history while traveling between these two small countries!

It was a fantastic time and Laura was super energetic throughout. Loved wandering through the medieval ruins and national park. The military museum was a little bit strange but the stories Laura told which were unrelated to the museum were very interesting. Highly recommended!

We took the Vilnius-Riga day tour with young and very enthusiastic Lithuanian girl Laura. She knew a lot about the local history and took us to places that were amazing and unforgettable. Highly recommended tour if you are travelling in the Baltic countries. You will get a good historic overview and visit some of the hidden gems that are located outside of the capitals. It was really travelling-like-a-local experience!

If you have a full day to go between cities, this is the way to go! We had a full van (8 people), and our guide, Laura, took the time and initiative to make everyone feel welcome. While there wasn’t a huge amount of time at each stop, but there certainly was enough to see what you have to see. Laura is an excellent driver and passionate guide and cheerleader for her country. I could've just went to Riga by normal bus, but luckily I found this online! It was a long day but totally worth it. We stopped five times on the way from Vilnius to Riga. Each stop is worth seeing. Laura, our guide, is very passionate about the baltic countries and her love for her home country made it very informative as she also had some personal stories to contribute that added to the experience. Overall, I highly recommend this very personal tour as you will discover places that you might miss otherwise.

First of all, our guide Laura was this energetic and enthusiastic girl, always concerned about all the passengers' needs. Then, she really could transmit her pride to be both Lithuanian and a citizen of the Baltic. The spots we visited showed us some of the history and architecture of Latvia and Lithuania. On the bus, everybody loved it. And that includes my 9-year-old daughter.

If it is your first time from Tallinn to Riga (or the opposite), I highly recommend that you take this tour bus. It is well planed, so the stops are in the most interesting places of the route. There are places that you should spend a lot of time to visit and probably you would need a car. "Amazing tour with energetic guide"
What a great way to get from point A to point B with a friendly and helpful Vilnius born guide. The first stop is Trakai where you learn the history of Lithuania and get time to walk around the castle grounds and take in the views of the lake. Next up is Kaunas, the other capital of Lithuania where you get to see castles and river views. Our guide ordered our lunch ahead of time which was good because from Kaunas, it was 2 hours away but the food was great and it is a good time to try Lithuanian food if you haven't already. Gotta have that meat and especially potatoes. The next stop was about a 5 minute drive away to the highlight of the trip: the Hill of Crosses. Now Lithuania doesn't really have hills so some people might not get what they expect but the site is gorgeous and you definitely have to walk up the hill to the other side because there is so much more to see. Bring your own cross to leave behind to the ever growing "hill". Next we crossed over to Latvia. Beware, the roads are not good. I am easily prone to motion sickness and our guide did a fantastic job driving but if you do get car sick, maybe take a pill before you leave. Rundale palace was the first stop and it was very pretty and an excellent example of what palaces in St. Petersburg look like. You get time to walk around the gardens where the most prominent flowers are the roses. The final stop was just outside Riga to a WWII labor camp. Though a sad history, it is an important one and here you get to dwell into it. We were dropped off just inside the Old Town in Riga just north of the bus station and the central market. I would recommend this tour to anyone because if you are going to be on a bus to get to Riga anyway, why not see more of the two countries? Our guide, Laura, was very knowledgeable and through in her own experiences of growing up in the Baltics and what it was like for her mother that it made everything seem more real.

This is a great idea and really fun. Laura was our tour guide and mini bus driver too ! We stopped off at a few places along the way ; my favourite was the restaurant which served amazing food ! I would definitely recommend this tour but please please please invest in a mobile phone holder for your driver so they can keep both hands on the wheel and not have to hold the phone whilst driving. Otherwise fantastic!

The tour has about 5 stop in latvia and estonia. We liked most the medieval towns, the national park and the restaurant where stopped to eat. And Laura, our guide was fun and made the day very interactive.

We had a smalle group which made the tour very fine. The guide (Laura) was there already early so we could leave on time. From the start she was very enthousiastic in her stories and she was always open for an informal conversation. Nice touristic stops and a good restaurant where we ate. It was a great advantage to hear the stories from a real Lithuanian which made the experience more purely. I would recommend this trip to everyone as the better alternative to travel between the two cities surely with such a good guide.

"Not good value"
We took this tour with the expectation that we would see more of Estonia and Latvia. With the exception of Cesis, what we saw was disapointing. Viljandi was underwhelming, sandstone cliffs were disappointing, and military museum was a waste of time. Segulda could have been great if we could have taken a bobsled down the ramp. We would have paid extra for this, but it was not an option. Cesis was very nice, but we were rushed through it. Laura was enthusiastic, but carried the rivalry with the other Baltic countries too far. We regret not taking a direct bus.
